A customer replies "I'll pay Friday" to a payment reminder. Another emails a dispute to ar@company.com. A third sends a remittance notice to the shared collections inbox. Three critical signals sit in an email client that no one's watching closely enough, with no system picking them up.

Someone spots the email, searches for the customer, copies the detail into the collections tool, and flags the right person. That's the best case. The worst case is that they're out sick and the email sits for a week while the promise expires and the cash doesn't come.
